At Hearing Associates Inc., we offer a range of hearing treatment services. This includes hearing evaluations, treatment recommendations, counselling, fitting, adjustments, servicing, and repairs. Whatever your hearing needs, we’ve got you covered!
Hearing Evaluation
Great hearing health starts with a comprehensive hearing evaluation. During the evaluation we take the time to get to know you and your hearing needs. Together we’ll discover exactly which sounds you’re missing. Then, we will take a look at your treatment options.
Hearing Aids
At Hearing Associates Inc., we have a selection of hearing aids from the world’s top hearing aid manufacturers. We’ll help you find the right model and style to suit your needs. Do you want to try out your hearing aids before you buy? You may be able to try out your hearing aids for a two-week trial period to make sure they’re the right devices for your hearing needs.
Earmold Impressions
After you’ve chosen the perfect hearing aids, we’ll take ear impressions for custom made hearing aids or ear molds. These ear impressions will match the contours of your ears, so your hearing aids will fit you perfectly.
Hearing Aid Fittings
Hearing aid fittings ensure that your devices are properly programmed to meet your hearing needs. We’ll calibrate your new hearing aids based on your unique hearing needs, as well as your personal impression of how you are hearing the sounds around you. When we adjust your hearing aids, we’ll take several different measurements to make sure you’re hearing clearly.
After the fitting, we’ll teach you how to operate your hearing aids, how to change the batteries, and how to care for your devices. We encourage you to wear them as much as possible for several days so you can get used to your new hearing aids.
Adjustments and Follow-Up Appointments
If you’re new to hearing aids, you may want to come for a follow-up appointment to make a few more small adjustments to your hearing aid settings. We can make some final adjustments to your hearing aids so you can enjoy great hearing. During a follow-up appointment we’ll also provide you with more information on hearing aid cleaning and maintenance.
If you’ve noticed changes to your current hearing devices, you may want to visit us for adjustments or repairs (see below).
Hearing Aid Servicing and Repairs
Your hearing aids will need servicing from time to time. If you notice any issues with your hearing aids, bring them into the office for a hearing aid evaluation. We service most hearing aid models and styles. We can perform general servicing and hearing aid cleaning in our office, and you’ll have your hearing aids back as soon as possible. For more complex repairs, we may send your hearing aids to the manufacturer.
If you have any questions or concerns about your devices, you can have your devices cleaned and checked by us at any time. Regular maintenance will extend the life of your hearing aids. It will also ensure that the sound quality stays high, and that you won’t experience any unexpected changes in your hearing aids.
As part of our hearing aid servicing, we will take probe microphone measurements to check the output of the hearing aids. We’ll make sure your hearing aids are functioning at their full capacity and providing you with exceptional hearing.
Assistive Listening Devices
Do you have a hard time hearing during meetings? Or, maybe you struggle to hear the TV? If you have difficulty hearing in a particular environment, an assistive listening device can help you hear with more clarity. Assistive listening devices (ALDs) amplify the sounds that you want to hear in your environment. There are many different types of ALDs – contact us to learn more!
Recreational and Occupational Hearing Conservation Programs
If you work in a noisy environment or participate in loud leisure activities, we’re here to help you work and play safely. With custom hearing protection, you can safeguard your hearing while doing the things you love. Our conservation programs also include information on how loud is too loud and what else you can do to protect your hearing.
Consultation and Referrals
There are a number of community programs and agencies in our community that want to improve services for the hearing impaired. Contact us to find out more about community services in your area and how they can help you access the services you need.
