At Hearing Associates, Inc., your hearing test will be conducted by a licensed, experienced doctor of audiology. The process is painless and non-invasive, and takes about 90 minutes to complete.
Hearing Test
Now it’s time for the hearing test. You’ll be asked to sit in a soundproof booth and wear a set of headphones. Your audiologist will administer the following series of tests, playing sounds into the headphones while you respond to what you hear.
Audiogram
The results of your pure-tone test will be displayed on an audiogram, which your audiologist will explain and go over with you. Depending on the results of this test, hearing aids may or may not be recommended, and your audiologist will be able to tell you what kind of hearing ability you can expect to have with a set of hearing aids.

If hearing aids are recommended, we will continue the conversation about what you need to accomplish with them. Different hearing aid styles will be more or less appropriate for different lifestyles, so the more we know about your daily routines and activities, the better we’ll be able to help you find the right solution for your needs.
Whichever hearing aids you select will come with a no-risk 30-day trial period, and we will adjust your fitting as much as necessary until you are happy with their performance.
